Our mission is rooted in a long-term vision for our community as well as our desire to help people out of difficult situations. In Baton Rouge, foreclosures rose by 43% between 2018 and 2019—even before the challenges of COVID-19. The closure of major employers like Georgia Pacific didn’t help. While other parts of the country saw improvements, Baton Rouge faced increasing economic struggles. We saw the impact on our neighbors and knew we could make a difference.
